Courtney Hancock earned her bachelor's degree in animal science-business in May 2007 from UT's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. She is now a teacher at Vivian Field Middle School in Dallas, Texas. In this photo, Hancock is standing with her principal, Daniel Ford.
"I took a trip to Ghana in the summer of 2006 as a UT student. The trip was amazing!! We went to a palace, a castle, the rainforest, the beach and much more. I took classes at the University of Ghana, Legon."
Hancock said she got involved with UT's international and intercultural initiative because of that trip and "since then, I have been Ready for the World's biggest advocate!"
She concluded her letter: "Go Field Vikings.....But Rocky Top will live FOREVER in my heart!!!"
