Where in the World is Smokey?

Presenting Research at Banff

Amanda Peretich is a graduate student in comparative and experimental medicine in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Her adviser is Madhu Dhar, associate professor in the large animal clinical sciences department.

They recently traveled to Banff, Alberta, Canada, where Peretich presented her research at the Keystone Symposia on the Molecular Control of Adipogenesis and Obesity.

"The photo is of Dr. Dhar and me is looking out from the conference center of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel with part of our hotel and the Canadian Rockies in the background. The Fairmont Banff Springs is known as "Canada's Castle in the Rockies" and was an absolutely gorgeous setting for a research meeting."
