Lizbeth Brown Smiddy, who graduated from the UT Knoxville College of Nursing in 1978, and her daughter, Eliza Smiddy, a child and family studies major, class of 2010, took Smokey to India in December. They went to visit Benny Woods, who graduated with a degree in sociology in 1977, in Bangalore, India. Benny is the chaplain at Bangalore Baptist Hospital. Eliza and Liz, along with other family members, were there volunteering -- using their computer and nursing skills -- during the Christmas holiday.
"We also enjoyed the beautiful Arabian Sea at Goa on the western coast of India during our travels. It was such fun for three UT fans to meet up so far away from home, and share some Orange Pride! India is an amazing place. We look forward to our next trip!
