Where in the World is Smokey?

Boating in the Everglades

Wayne and Doris Prichard are UT Knoxville alumni. She received her bachelor's degree in English/secondary education in 1969 and her master's degree in library science in 1971. He received his bachelor's degree in finance in 1969 and his MBA in 1973. Doris is also the retired director of Preston Medical Library, UT Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville.

They sent this photo of themselves while anchored on their boat, "Segue," on Little Shark River in the Florida Everglades.

"Wayne and I are taking about a year to do the Great Loop -- working our way by water from Tennessee down to Mobile, Ala., the Florida Keys, up the east coast to New York City, into the Hudson River, up through Canada, down by Michigan, Chicago and back home by rivers. We left in mid-December 2007 and expect to complete the trip by October or November of 2008. See for more info on the loop."
