Capt. Clay Dye, USMC HMM 365, a CH 46 pilot, sent this photo while he was on deployment in Afghanistan. The shot was taken somewhere in the Helmand Province, outside Kandahar. Dye—who is safely home now—is a 1996 graduate of UT Knoxville’s College of Communication and Information. He is the son of Hank Dye, vice president of public and government relations for the UT System.
