Where in the World is Smokey?

Smokey Finds Adventure in Alaska

Denis’ Thomas is a doctoral student and educational psychology instructor at UT Knoxville.

She wrote: “Smokey went with me to Washington state to visit my husband’s family in the Seattle area and then on to Alaska, where we celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary.

“The first photo is on the ferry from Seattle to Bain Bridge Island. You can see the Space Needle in the background. Smokey also went whale watching and saw a pod of orca whales, bald eagles, seals and lots of other wildlife.

“The second photo is at Totem Bight Historical State Park, near Ketchikan, Alaska. Smokey learned about native culture, storytelling and met some very interesting people—even fellow Tennesseans. Ketchikan is a very dog-friendly town and surrounded by mountains, so he was right at home.”
