Where in the World is Smokey?

Spending a Month in New Zealand

Patricia Pierce is a 1973 graduate of UTK with a bachelor's degree in education and played basketball for Joan Cronan in 1968.

"My husband and I traveled to New Zealand for 33 days in April and May 2008. We were celebrating our retirement. I retired from Vanderbilt University after almost 30 years and he retired from BWXT Y-12 after 38 years.”

She sent three photos from her trip: "The first photo was taken at a geothermal site on the North Island, just north of Taupo. The second was taken on the South Island at Milford Sound in front of Mitre Peak, which is part of the Fiordland National Park. The last photo was taken on a cruise ship to the Tasman Sea."
