Where in the World is Smokey?

Attending a Veterinary Medicine Conference in Copenhagen

Drs. David Bemis, Stephen Kania and Linda Frank from the College of Veterinary Medicine sent this photo from Copenhagen, Denmark, in June 2008.

They were presenters at the Antimicrobial Resistance in Zoonotic Bacteria and Foodborne Pathogens conference. They also attended an international workshop on methicillin resistant staphylococci.

"Two things stood out in Copenhagen," Kania wrote. "Bicycles are the primary method of transportation for everyone, and people went out of their way to help us even when we were wearing peculiar T-shirts."
