Cindy Wilmoth graduated from UT Knoxville in 1988 with a degree in biology. Her husband worked for UT Telephone Services Department. Their eldest daughter, Christina Wilmoth, was a public relations major who graduated in December 2002. Their youngest daughter, Erica Wilmoth, is a junior majoring in journalism and is also a member of Tri-Delta sorority, the All Campus Events Committee and Orange Pride. Cindy's mother, Peggy Savage McWilliams, graduated from the College of Nursing, and then returned to get her master's in public health administration and doctorate.
"So UT is a legacy for our family!" Wilmoth wrote.
The Wilmoths took a two-week trip to Israel, Greece and Egypt in November 2007.
"Smokey traveled with us to the Parthenon atop the Acropolis in Athens, Greece; to the Great Pyramids and the Great Sphinx in Cairo, Egypt; to the Colossus of Ramses II in Memphis, Egypt; and on a fishing boat as we crossed the Sea of Galilee in Israel. He made his final appearance when we departed from the Tel Aviv Airport in Israel."
