"My name is Jan Todd and I work in the UTK Bursar’s office as a senior control fee clerk. The first photo is at Carvers Apple House in Cosby in the Smokey Mountains. This is our annual pilgrimage with my 84-year-old mother-in-law to purchase apples to make cinnamon apple butter for Christmas Gifts. The recipe is from my grandmother and we have been passing along her apple butter for many, many years.
"After our trip to the Apple House, we stopped in Gatlinburg along the Glades Road, at the Arts and Crafts trail and found a couple playing music. Well, we had to request 'Rocky Top,' which they played with enthusiasm and ended my day with a smooch. Credits for the photo go to my sister-in-law, S. Loy Hosse. We had a great day!"
