Jim Nunn, a cotton buyer in Brownsville, Tenn., graduated from UT in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in agriculture and a major in animal science. Nunn's son, Cap,, is now a sophomore at UT majoring in agriculture busines.
Jim Nunn recently took Smokey along with him to Liverpool, England.
"I am standing next to the statute of John Lennon in front of the Cavern Pub, which is across the street from the club where the Beatles got their start," Nunn wrote. "I was in Liverpool October 3-8, 2007, for the annual International Cotton Association's annual meeting and dinner. This year there were 650 attendees (including four UT graduates!) from 56 countries. The highlight of the week is the annual black tie dinner and reception. This year's dinner was held at the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool."
